The primary difference between solid and engineered hardwood flooring is in the way the two types of flooring are constructed.

Solid hardwood flooring planks are each one piece of wood. It is sawn directly from a tree, and the species of the tree determines the species of the flooring. From top to bottom, solid hardwood flooring is that specific species of tree.

Are You Ready for Your Hardwood Installation?

Before our installers arrive, you’ll need to take a few steps to ensure things go off without a hitch.

Keep in mind that your flooring will need to be stored within your home for two days before installation to acclimate properly. Also, make sure that your subfloor should be clean, flat, and level. That means that after you remove your old flooring, additional preparations might be needed.
